Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Ita Enang confirmed that the president received the 2018 Appropriation Bill on May 25.
“I can confirm to you that the budget has left the National Assembly,” he told the Nigerian Tribune on phone.
It was also learnt that the weekly meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) has been cancelled possibly due to the Sallah holiday.
The federal government had previously blamed the cancellation of FEC after each holiday on the inability to circulate necessary memoranda to the participants.
