In the ongoing Big Brother Naija Season 9, housemate Toby Forge has expressed his frustration and threatened to sever ties with fellow housemate Kassia if he discovers she is in a relationship with her husband, Kellyrae, who is also a housemate.
During their introduction at the show’s launch, Kassia and Kellyrae mentioned they were married but planned to keep it a secret while in the house.
Unaware of their marital status, Toby has been drawn to Kassia since the beginning of the show.
In a conversation on Saturday night, Toby conveyed his suspicions and displeasure to Kassia, stating he would be upset if she and Kellyrae were indeed a couple.
He emphasised that Kassia is too beautiful to be hidden by any man and criticised Kellyrae for pretending if they were married.
Toby expressed his feelings: “My mind is telling me there’s somebody outside. I’ve seen you and Kelly, that’s true friendship, but if it turns out to be Kelly, I’d be so angry.”
Kassia laughed and asked why he felt that way, to which Toby replied, “I would be so pissed off that I might hate him sef, because there is no reason for him to pretend.”
When Kassia asked why Kelly’s situation bothered him more than another potential outside relationship, Toby explained, “Because he is here and he has every time and moment to show you that I don’t wanna hide, even if it’s a tactic….. You people behave so suspicious. The way you guys hug, the way you guys talk, it’s too suspicious.”
Kassia attempted to downplay the suspicion by pointing out they barely sit together, but Toby insisted that their bond was evident and distracting: “Exactly but when you guys are in contact, you can know that there’s a strong bond there. I don’t know if it’s love or friendship but whatever bond it is, it’s very very distracting.”
He concluded by saying, “So if it’s Kelly and you’re pretending, I won’t talk to you guys again.”
