While speaking during the commissioning ceremony held at the Bauchi Transmission substation located in Dumi Village, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, Usman Gur Mohammed said that the state will now enjoy improved power supply with the new transformer.
According to him, similar transformers have been installed in 18 other states across the country saying that the Federal Government has approved a whopping sum of N72 billion in the last two months as electricity intervention funds aimed at boosting supply and stabilizing the national grid.
The TCN Boss also commented the state Governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar for providing the land and paying the compensation to the owners for the installation of the power transformer in the town.

Also Speaking, the village head of Dumi, Alhaji Hussaini Muhammed appealed to the government to connect some areas under his villages such as Gudum Fulani, Rusa and Sabuwar Dumi have been facing power outages for over two years now.
In his remarks, Bauchi state Governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar said the installation of such transformer in the state by the TCN was a great development.
Mohammed Abubakar who opined that power is the bedrock of industrial development assured of his government’s readiness to expand the scope of collaboration between the state and the TCN.
