He noted that Delta State is, today, far ahead of many other states in Nigeria, because of the progressive steps were taken by Gov Okowa to reinvigorate the state economy.
According to him, Okowa has tightened financial leakages, introduced human capital development programmes and created the Office of the Chief Job Creation Officer to drive long term jobs and wealth creation programmes anchored on ‘Prosperity for All Deltans’ mantra.
Oghenesivbe, who’s a fellow of the Civilian Institute of Democratic Administration (CIDA) and member of the International Communication Association (ICA), further posited that the beauty of democracy radiates better and brighter only when good leaders are in positions of authority.
He said Gov Okowa represents a class of God-fearing and purpose-driven leaders which is why Delta State will continue to experience giant strides in socioeconomic remodelling as well as advancement in all sectors articulated in the SMART Agenda document.
“Our governor and boss is a deep thinker, meticulous leader blessed with uncommon intelligent; a good mixer and strategic team player who would go extra miles any day to advance the course of the State affairs and well-being of Deltans.
“He cut down the cost of governance to the bearest minimum and virtually ignored luxury and glamour associated with public office and enjoyed in time past by senior government officials and high breed political appointees, all in an effort to save funds in a recessed economy to pay state workers salaries regularly.
“The governor embarked on roads and other infrastructure development, created job and wealth for thousands of Youth who today are rising entrepreneurs, employers of labour and breadwinners under the Youth Agriculture and Skills Training Entrepreneurship Programmes (YAGEP and STEP).
“I couldn’t have serve Delta State and the governor at a better time and it beholves on me to consistently thank God and Gov Okowa for this rare privilege to be part of good governance success story which Deltans are celebrating today; the 3rd anniversary of the Okowa administration smart agenda.
