Ayo Animashaun, the entertainment mogul and founder of HipTV, has thrown his weight behind the upcoming Kogi International Carnival, which is set to take place from December December 1 to 7.
Animashaun expressed his excitement and endorsement of the event during a recent courtesy visit by the organisers to his office.
“The Kogi International Carnival is a fantastic initiative that highlights the cultural richness of Nigeria, and I’m proud to support it,” Animashaun said.
“It’s a wonderful platform to promote unity, tourism, and empowerment within our local communities, and I believe it will leave a lasting impact on both participants and visitors.”
The carnival, themed “Come, Experience, Explore and Invest in the Confluence State,” promises to be an unforgettable celebration of Nigerian culture, music, art, and entertainment.
It will serve as a vibrant platform to showcase the diversity and creativity of the people of Kogi State and the wider Nigerian community.
One of the event’s primary objectives is to foster cultural exchange and promote tourism while empowering local communities through various activities, including performances by renowned local and international artists.
The carnival will also feature cultural exhibitions, traditional dance displays, and a food festival that celebrates both local and international cuisine, offering something for every taste.
Another major highlight of the Kogi International Carnival will be the fashion show, where Nigerian and African designers will showcase their most exquisite collections, celebrating the rich fashion heritage of the continent.
The carnival parade will be a spectacle to behold, featuring elaborate costumes, vibrant floats, and a display of the state’s cultural diversity.
Workshops and master classes will be held throughout the event, focusing on art, music, and entrepreneurship. These sessions will provide a platform for both budding and established artists to learn from experts, network, and enhance their skills.

The Kogi International Carnival will take place across Lokoja, Kabba, Okene, and Ayingba in Kogi State, offering a unique chance for people from all over Nigeria and beyond to experience the beauty and culture of the region. With free entry for children under 12, the event is expected to draw a wide range of attendees, making it an inclusive and accessible celebration.
The organisers emphasized that the carnival is more than just a celebration; it is a commitment to building a stronger, more united Nigeria by promoting its cultural heritage and creating opportunities for economic growth.
“We invite everyone to join us for an unforgettable experience,” said the organiser, reinforcing the carnival’s mission to bring people together and create lasting memories.
