Anambra State House of Assembly aspirant in the 2023 general election and a chieftain of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Amandi Chibuzor Emeh on Monday, debunked a rumour making the round that the State Legislators were not in good terms with Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, over his style of political appointment.
Nigerian Tribune learnt that ahead of his swearing-in scheduled for March 17, 2022, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, last month, unvailed an online platform for Anambra people interested in serving in his administration.
In a statement issued on that effect, Soludo said as stated during his campaign, he is committed to giving anyone who has the competence and capability the opportunity to contribute to good governance in Anambra state.
He said to enable a credible and competitive process, he has approved the launch of the Anambra talent data bank for indigenes to express interest in volunteering, seeking political appointments or working in paid public service positions.
“This platform is designed for Ndi Anambra to ‘Express Interest’ in volunteering or seeking a political appointment or career in paid public service positions. This Talent Data Bank offers a transparent and level playing field for talent search and team selection processes that are consistent with our vision,” the statement reads.
Emeh, who is aspiring to represent Njikoka two State Constituency, under APGA platform, advised politicians in the state, especially, from the opposition, to always verified the true fact of information before going to press.
He said the online application was a process of accountability and good governance.
He noted that the current 7th Assembly members are in cordial relationship with the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)
He said he choose working with Soludo because, he is a competent leader who could further unite the people in respective of political placement, tackle insecurity and rejig the gradually dying economy and as well benefit the masses, (indigenes and non-indigenes), in the state.
The aspirant who was at Abagana Ward 2, his hometown, in Njikoka Council Area of the state, as part of his ongoing consultation for the 2023 state house of Assembly election, disclosed that he decided to commence his consultation with his Ward executive, traditional rulers and Religion clerics in the Constituency before declaring to APGA leadership, due to the enormous respect he placed on culture and tradition.
According to him, “I’m contesting this race to renew the hope and make the future great for our children and Ndi-Anambra at large and also to ensure that the State Assembly legislate in cordial relationship with Soludo led-executive.
For Anambra to maintain its unity and development, we require leaders that have patience and wisdom like the outgoing governor, Willie Obiano, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, myself and other APGA faithful.
He said if elected as a lawmaker, he will help to address the challenges of infrastructure decays in Umuowelle, empower the youths, developed all Constituency markets, education and insecurity.
While commending the outgoing governor, Willie Obiano and his wife, Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano, on the Airport, Awka city stadium, International Convention Centre and other projects, Emeh, wish Obiano best of luck in his future engagements
In their brief welcome speeches, the APGA leaders in the Ward, Comrade Osondu Ozumba and Ike Abagana, while assuring him of their support advised the aspirant to go for wider consultation among party leaders across the Constituency, if he must win the party ticket.

Soludo is expected to assume office as the next Anambra State governor, on March 17, 2022.
