An aggrieved governorship aspirant, Chief Akachukwu Sullivan Nwankpo, has finally resigned his membership of the All Progressive Grand Alliance,(APGA) to actualise his guber ambition at African Democratic Party (ADC).
Nwankpo, said he joined ADC over unresolved matters involving the choice of the former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Professor Charles Soludo, by the State governor, Willie Obiano and other major stakeholders of the party.
Tribune Online gathered that the businessman cum politician was disqualified by the National Working Committee of APGA for being a member of the party less than 18-months
Addressing journalists, shortly after a closed meeting with ADC National Executive in Awka, on Tuesday, Nwankpo, said that APGA might not win the coming governorship election in the state due to the manner decisions were being taken by leaders of the party.
He said he had pitched his tent with the ADC, where he would be fairly treated as well as all the zones in the state.
Reacting to the development, the National Chairman of ADC, Chief Okey Nwosu, assured the aspirant that the party under his leadership would do everything politically possible to ensure the party wins the November 6th, 2021 governorship election in the state.
