Wife of Bauchi State Governor, Hajiya Aisha Lami Bala Mohammed has been turbaned as the first Sarauniyar (Queen) Bauchi by the Emir of Bauchi, Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu.
While performing the official and traditional turbaning in his Palace on Saturday, the Emir said that the title was conferred on her based on her humanitarian efforts even before the election of her husband as the Governor of Bauchi State.
The Emir added that the exemplary leadership traits coupled with her humility were part of the things considered by the Emirate Council while conferring the title on her with the belief that it will ginger her to do more for the people of Bauchi State.
Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu then called on women politicians to always tow the path of honour by playing politics the way and manner it should be played sọ that development can come to the people.

In her remarks shortly after she was presented with paraphinelia of office as the First Sarauniyar Bauchi, the First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed thanked the Emir and the Emirate Council for finding her worthy to be so honored saying that it came to her as a surprise when she received the letter recently.
Aisha Bala Mohammed stressed that philanthropy is part of her upbringing as a daughter raised in the Palace adding that she is committed to seeing that people are happy by trying to meet their physical needs.
The First Lady further said that her NGO was formed with the aim of making life more meaningful for the vulnerable in the society especially women and children who she lamented have been neglected by the society they belong to.
The new Sarauniyar Bauchi then reiterated her commitment to helping the Needy in the society all over across the state assuring that more is to come from her NGO.
