Orekoya, in a statement on Tuesday, said the names of those who did not participate in the primary processes being bandied about by former executive members of the party were not authentic.
“Our attention has been drawn to the purported PDP candidates’ list claimed to have been released by INEC with names of people who did not participate in any of the primary processes as directed by the party with INEC guidelines; people who fraudulently availed themselves nomination forms that were not obtained from the national body of the party.

“We state categorically and affirmatively that Honourable Oladipupo Adebutu remains the Ogun State PDP gubernatorial candidate having fulfilled all the guidelines and participated in the primaries conducted by the National Working Committee of PDP and witnessed by other related agencies.
“It should also be mentioned that following the illegalities and shenanigans of some unscrupulous elements who are after the disrupting the peace of PDP in Ogun State by parading different court orders to distract and confuse our great people of Ogun State, we have appealed the unjust court orders at the appellate courts awaiting decisions that will prevail on these matters.
“The Supreme Court last week issued and served on INEC, PDP and other parties in appeal filed by the PDP in Suit SC/968/2018 which shows an accelerated move to give decision on the matter in a matter of days.
“It is, therefore, untrue and impossible for INEC to have released names of candidates who did not participate in any primary process and INEC as a trusted and unbiased umpire will not preempt court judgement through her actions and pronouncements.
“We urge our respectable elders, leaders and numerous followers and entire good people of Ogun State not to be disturbed but be very calm as the awaited decisions of the court will bear the truth and prevail as it will affirm the candidacy of Adebutu.
“The National Body of the Party has always been abiding by the truth, the Provisions of the Party Constitution and the rule of law assuring supremacy of the decision of Ogun State people,” he said.
