Adamawa State House of Assembly on Tuesday granted approval to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to appoint 40 special advisers.
The approval was sequel to the consideration of a letter to that effect forwarded to the House of Assembly by Governor Fintiri and read at the resumed plenary session on Tuesday by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas.
Governor Fintiri had requested the Honourable Members to grant the approval as his request is in line with 1999 Constitution as amended.

Earlier, while moving a motion for the consideration of the letter, the majority Leader of the House and member representing Jada Mbulo, Hon. Hammantukur Yettisuri, appealed to colleagues to grant the approval so as to assist the governor in running the affairs of the state.
After the approval, the Speaker who presided over the sitting directed the clerk to communicate their resolution to the executive arm.
