A statement by the national coordinator and secretary of the group, Busayo David and Abdulazeez Lukman, respectively, following display of candidates for the 2019 poll said that the opposition APC in the state needed to address some issues resulting from the last party primaries to ensure inclusive governance and sense of belonging to achieve victory in 2019 poll.
The group, which called on the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC to treat the issue with utmost urgency, said that the party has the qualities and manifestos that could lead the state to the promise land.

“The sharing formula used in distributing the elective positions majorly at Kwara Central and Kwara South senatorial districts is a bit deficient. In Kwara Central that comprises four LGAs; Asa, Ilorin East, Ilorin South and Ilorin West, which are divided into two federal constituencies; Asa/Ilorin West and Ilorin East/Ilorin South. Asa and Ilorin East has been given House of Representatives, Ilorin West has both governor and Senate while Ilorin South has none. Based on the fact stated, it will be fair enough to consider Ilorin South for Senate.
“Irepodun local government area has occupied the federal House of Representatives for 16 years, also, the only Christian that won House of Representatives from Ekiti local government area should not be denied.
“Similarly, Kwara South comprises seven LGAs; Ekiti, Oke-ero, Offa, Oyun, Irepodun, Isin and Ifelodun. Kwara South has two federal constituencies which are Offa/Oyun/Ifelodun and Ekiti/Isin/Irepodun/Oke-ero. Offa has the Senate seat, though Oyun has none, Ifelodun should be considered with the federal House of Representatives, with popular candidate like Barrister Falola Olanrewaju because Ifelodun Constituency A of Share district is with PDP positions like the state House of Assembly, the senatorial ticket and the council chairman.
“The candidature of Falola naturally balances the political equation in Ifelodun thereby balancing Offa/Oyun/Ifelodun constituency. As for Ekiti/Isin/Irepodun/Oke-ero constituency, Irepodun has a minister who doubles as the leader of the party in the state, it will be unjust to pick Irepodun over Ekiti for the position of House of Representatives since the two contestants are from those two LGAs.
“We are a non-political group but we advocate for good governance in Kwara State and Nigeria at large. We have over ten thousand active members within the state and we all possess our voter cards.
“As a result of our strive for good governance, we find out that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has the qualities and manifestos that can lead our dear state to the promise land, which made us support the APC in Kwara and Nigeria so that we can enjoy the dividends of democracy.
