A total of sixty suspects have been arrested by operatives of Zone 12 Command of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in 44 various criminal cases.
The feat was recorded by the Zonal Police Command as a significant milestone in its efforts to combat crimes, criminalities, and ensure public safety, as contained in a statement by CSP Thomas Goni, Zonal Police Public Relations Officer (ZPPRO), Bauchi.
The arrests were made possible through the tireless efforts of the officers and men who worked around the clock to gather intelligence, conduct raids, and apprehend the suspects.
The suspects were arrested for criminal cases ranging from criminal conspiracy, cheating, and breach of trust to theft and vandalism.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police overseeing the zone, DCP Murtala A. Idris, expressed his satisfaction with the achievements of the Zonal Command and commended the officers and men for their dedication and hard work.
He assured the public that the Command will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that crime is reduced to the barest minimum.
He stressed that, “We are committed to making our Zone a safe and secure place for all residents. We will not rest on our oars until we have achieved this goal.”
All the arrested suspects are currently being interrogated, and those found culpable will be charged to court.

The Zonal Police Command appreciated the cooperation and support of the public, which has been instrumental in the successes recorded.
“We urge the public to continue to provide us with timely and accurate information to enable us to serve them better,” he appealed.
The breakdown of the arrests indicated that for criminal conspiracy and theft, fifteen suspects were arrested; for cheating, eight suspects; fraud, twelve suspects; theft, ten suspects; burglary, five suspects; vandalism, three suspects; while for other cases, seven suspects were arrested.
Zone 12 of the Nigeria Police Force, with headquarters in Bauchi, comprises the Bauchi and Gombe State Commands.
