The Federal Government, on Saturday, announced the commencement of free train ride for travellers along the Lagos-Ibadan standard gauge rail line, beginning from November 30 till the end of the first quarter of 2020.
The Minister of Transportation, Mr Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, made the announcement on his Twitter handle, via @ChibuikeAmeachi.

Ameachi’s tweet explained that the take-off point is the Iju train station in Lagos while the free ride would last beyond the festive period.
He urged commuters in the region to take advantage of the free train ride by saving the cost of transportation within the festive period.
