THE appointment of the newly-sworn-in Secretary to the Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State has been described as a product of merit, hardwork and careful consultation
The chairman, Dr Olusola Akinbode, who stated this during the swearing-in ceremony of the Secretary, Alhaji Lukumon Akinyemi held at the secretariat, headquarters of the council in Ayetoro, urged the new secretary to emulate the Governor Dapo Abiodun-led government provision of infrastructural amenities, good road network, housing for all, among others
Akinbode noted that the public service was the core engine room of government, charging the new secretary to deploy his wealth of knowledge and experience in the discharge of his duties
While responding, Akinyemi appreciated the Dapo Abiodun-led administration for finding him worthy as the secretary, pledging his support for the government and to dedicate himself to the pursuit of excellence, through the help of God and the entire workforce, so as to attain greater height
The trio of elder statesmen, Baba Olu Agemo, Alhaji Bisiriru Popoola and Chief Kunle Adeosun thanked Governor Abiodun and the chairman for the opportunity given the new secretary to serve, saying all Ayetoro people will forever be grateful
Other dignitaries present are past members of the state House of Assembly from the local government, career officers led by the Head of Local Government Administration (HLGA), Mrs Kehinde Akinsola, family members, among others
