Why you should run away from spiritualists’ counsel on your marriage

I have to write this piece as a warning to married couples because of many marriages that have been destroyed by the antics of so-called prophets, imams, herbalists and the likes. Couples must realise that putting their destiny into the hands of these spiritualists will endanger their marriages. A couple I know very well have become separated because of their patronage of a spiritualist who gave them direction about how to conduct their family affairs. The husband told me that it was after the white garment spiritualist told him to undertake a spiritual midnight bath that their marriage took a dimension for the worse, culminating in their separation till date. This was a couple that was doing well on the average on all fronts, but wanted greener pastures in life. It was this that drove them into the hands of the spiritualist, who started manipulating them: every “message” must be paid for by the couple.

Another couple that has been married for about a decade but childless is also on the brink of ending their marriage as a result of the involvement of spiritualists in their marriage. According to the husband, the spiritualists have warned him not to allow his wife back into his life, for using her hands to pack out of their matrimonial home, due to pressure of barrenness. Allowing her back home will signal his eventual death, according to the spiritual messages.

Other challenges of life driving couples into the hands of these spiritualists include financial distress, business misfortunes, sicknesses and the likes.

From what we have discovered in marital counseling, it is obvious that many marriages experiencing distress have the spiritualists to blame. It is therefore needful for couples to beware of the activities of the so called spiritualists. Only luck and God can save anyone who falls into their hands. And from experience, not many are that lucky when they fall victims of the spiritualists.

Couples need to realise that there are natural forces that affect marriages without any spiritual colouration. Challenges of infertility, financial misfortunes, sicknesses, among others are natural in life. Spiritualising challenges makes it easier for one to become a prey to the so called spiritualists. There are natural laws of cause and effect that operate in our lives. Understanding such laws enable one to face life challenges headlong and fix it.

It is therefore needful for married couples to take caution in putting their destiny into the hands of these spiritualists. In most cases, they do more harm than good to many marital relationships. At least, from many examples that abound around us. One major way of discovering such spiritualists is their request for money. Their midnight baths, body cleansing and object placements for progress hardly go for a token. Some victims have become husbands or wives to some of the spiritualists since they exist in both sexes: male and female. So let every couple beware, and stop looking for what is not lost.
