The event coincided with the album launch of the group entitled: Open Door: Chapter 1 and it added glamour to the event held at the posh auditorium of The Fountain of Life Church TFOLC at the Industrial Crescent, Ilupeju, in Lagos State.
Some of the dignitaries that graced the event included Glowreeyah Braimah, Senior Pastor, Taiwo Odukoya and his wife, Nomthi.
The congregation became frenzy when praises and songs such as Songs of adoration, Praise to God Almighty, who Open Doors of opportunities, among others, flowed freely from the worship team.
The auditorium actually came alive when one of the lead vocals, Oluchi Oguru, led the team to render one her hit track entitled: Jesus You Are Powerful.
Speaking on how she got the inspiration for the song, Oguru said: “I was kidnapped by ritualists after my Youth Corps Service year in my state, Abia State, but God delivered me and I didn’t spend the next day there. At the mention of the name Jesus, things changed. God sent a rescue team to me and that was how I got the inspiration of the song.”
Music Director, TFOLC, Tolu Odukoya-Ijogun, said the decision to create the album was as a result of their passion for music and the desire to take their unique songs to a wider outreach.
“We have always loved music. The choir has always been great. Sometime last year, we decided to take it to another level – an international one, to make our songs be heard by more individuals, but that required a standard. Therefore, we took a bold step and decided to release an album where we got a couple of teams and individuals of the music department to write songs which were driven by last year’s theme –Open door and that really birthed the songs that we have in this album,” she added.
