Bishop of Anglican diocese of Offa, Right Reverend Dr. Solomon Akanbi, has said that, as believers, people should know that death was not the end of everyone, saying that, “we will all resurrect with Jesus Christ one day.”
Speaking on the significance of Easter celebration, Reverend Akanbi described resurrection of Jesus Christ as a victory for all believers.
The cleric, who urged people to be patient in life, said that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is a fulfilment of God’s words that, “a Messiah will come and deliver us.
“What has been written has been written and whatever God makes about one’s life will surely come to pass,” he stated.

He also said believers would be reconciled with God through death, advising people to allow their total being in Jesus Christ.
“Accept Him as our Lord and saviour and be ready to do everything to lift up His name whatever may be the cost,” he said.
The cleric also urged Christians to allow lessons of the season which include humility, sacrifice, love, forgiveness, tolerance and perseverance to reflect in their daily activities.
Right Reverend Akanbi charged newly elected politicians to serve sacrificially and should not think of what they will gain, saying that they should shun all forms of selfish interest.
He also called on Nigerians to pray for peace, unity and progress of the nation, saying that they should live in peace, love and harmony.
