THE Ondo state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Hon Ade Adetimehin, has expressed optimism that the state would be delivered for President Muhammadu Buhari, saying APC remains a party to beat in the state.

Adetimehin who stated this during the empowerment packages to artisans and market women in Idanre in Idanre Local Government Area of the state said all the party candidates in the forthcoming election would be returned.

He noted that APC despite being in opposition in 2015 without any political office holder at the federal and state level defeated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) saying the APC in the state went ahead to win the governorship election in the state 2016.

He said the rival PDP would not pose any threat to the victory of APC in any election in the state saying those who were in PDP when it was a threat have now moved to the progressive platform.

Speaking at the empowerment programme in the council area, Adetimehin said the initiative became necessary to equally appreciate the people for their continued support for the APC over the years.

The Chairman of the empowerment programme and the commissioner for Agriculture, Otunba Gboyega Adefarati commended Mr Adetimehin for giving back to the society through the empowerment of artisans and market women, observing that such gesture would boost the fortunes of the party in the area.

Also, sixty petty traders and roadside market sellers were given N10.000.00 each to supplement them in their businesses.

On his part, the state commissioner for information and orientation Yemi Olowolabi and his counterpart in the local government and chieftaincy Affairs, Lola Fagbemi said Adetimehin has shown uncommon passion by supporting artisans and petty traders in Idanre stressing that they should reciprocate the gesture by voting en masse for the APC in the forthcoming general elections.

The monarch of the town, Owa of Idanre kingdom, Oba Fredrick Aroloye described the party chairman as a man of his words who has demonstrated sterling leadership in all spheres.

The beneficiaries who could not hide their joy commended the initiative as a step in the right direction which would go a long way in adding more values to their lives and businesses.
