Newly-appointed Head of Civil Service in Ogun State, Amope Chokor, has reiterated the Dapo Abiodun-led administration’s drive to ensure that welfare of workers in the state is properly taken care of.
Chokor said the overall management leadership, planning, training and motivation of public servants will continue to be the priority of the government for the achievement of the administration’s cardinal programmes.
She made this known while reeling out budget estimates of her Office, Bureau of State Pensions, Establishments and Training, Service Matters, Public Transformation Office and the State Civil Service Commission at the State Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta on Wednesday.
She added that her office would evolve more administrative plans to improve and maintain the morale of the workforce with a view to providing effective service delivery for the members of the public in 2020.
Chokor also said the civil service remained pivotal in the formulation of operational programmes and policies in line with the present administration’s blueprint at retaining the state in her enviable position in the comity of states.
While giving the breakdown of the N406m budget estimate of the Office of the Head of Service, she noted that N120m is earmarked for capital expenses, N286m for recurrent while N20m is expected as revenue.
