It was gathered that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) had directed Nigeria universities to embark on indefinite strike action starting from Monday.
TribuneOnline gathered that the university lecturers in the institutions were in classes attending to their students at various faculties.
The lecturers, who had held a meeting earlier in the day, came to their various classes late, the development which reportedly led to anxiety among students.
The students, who were just returning to school after a long vacation, including the school’s convocation ceremonies, appealed to their teachers not to join the ASUU strike.
