As part of its contributions to agricultural development in Nigeria, the Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates’ Association (UNIFEMGA), Ogun State chapter, will be holding its third annual agricultural national programme tomorrow in Abeokuta.
In a statement, the state chairman of UNIFEMGA, Mr Tairu Olarewaju, said the theme of this year’s edition is ‘Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Development: Access to Finance and Funding Opportunities’.
He said the one-day event will hold at The Crescent Hall, Leme, Abeokuta, under the chairmanship of Professor Saburi Adejimi Adesanya, a former vice chancellor of the Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago Iwoye.
Expected to deliver the keynote address on ‘How to Access Agricultural Loans at Lotus Bank’ at the event is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Lotus Bank, Alhaja Kafilat Araoye.
Other experts being expected are Professor Akinloye Jimoh Farinde and Professor Abdullateef Sanni, Executive Director, Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute (NSPRI) Ilorin, who will speak on the topics ‘Agricultural Development in Nigeria’ and ‘Agricultural Entrepreneurship’, respectively.
According to Olanrewaju’s statement, there will also be goodwill messages from the national president of the association, Alhaji Abdulfattah Olanlege, as well as Alhaji Rafiu Ebiti, the chairman of the Board of Trustees of UNIFEMGA.
The expo, Olarewaju said, will be witnessed by experts in the industry as well as investors in agricultural business.
