Two female Reps members clash before plenary over state of emergency in Rivers

Two female members of the House of Representatives, Hon. Marie Ebikake and Hon. Blessing Amadi, engaged in a heated argument on Wednesday before the commencement of the plenary session over President Bola Tinubu’s declaration of emergency rule in Rivers State.

Ebikake and Amadi, who represent Brass/Nembe Federal Constituency of Bayelsa and Port Harcourt Two Federal Constituency of Rivers State, respectively, started the argument a few minutes before the plenary commenced.

The two female lawmakers, along with other members, were discussing the Rivers crisis when they suddenly started shouting and pointing fingers at each other.

The quick intervention of other lawmakers present in the hallowed chamber prevented what could have escalated into a physical exchange of blows between the female lawmakers.
