Wife of the Ondo State Governor, Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, said she was amazed for being a recipient of the Tribune’s Platinum Award.

Betty, however, acknowledged that women are being recognised for their community and humanitarian service rendered.

The First Lady showered encomiums on the Media House for finding her worthy of the Award.

“But I know that women are being recognised for the community and humanitarian service rendered.

“I would like to thank the Nigerian Tribune Newspapers for the Award conferred on me,” Betty said.

While speaking on the motivation behind her monumental projects in the country, Akeredolu attributed the giant strides to her father who was the head of a school.

She noted that the discipline instilled in her prompted actions of being responsible for whatever she does today.

“I owe whatever I do to my father, who was the headmaster of a school.

“Hence, I own responsibility for whatever I do and that makes me be who I am today,” She said.
