A leading entrepreneurship organisation in the country, Tova Africa, has launched a microcredit financial institution, Tovacredit Limited, to empower Nigerians, especially indigent women, and youths.
Speaking with newsmen at the pre-launch press conference of the initiative in Ibadan, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Tova Africa, Mr Tosin Bakare, stressed that the new financial scheme is out to empower the downtrodden by meeting their microcredit needs through thrift, loan and investment.
Bakare noted that the scheme tagged, “Welcome to Prosperity”, would create a great savings, loan, and investment community towards having a family of millionaires in one of the slums of Ibadan, disclosing that any loan obtained will attract an interest of five percent.
He also assured that the company would treat every customer as a real human being, just as he noted that the maximum amount that could be borrowed for now is N200,000 and that it will increase when there are many customers.
The Director of Marketing the company, Pastor Adewale Adeoye, noted that Tovacredit Limited is an Afrocentric financial institution designed to empower the downtrodden, especially indigent women and youths with entrepreneurial/vocational skills.
He also noted that Tovacredit Limited is ready to meet people’s microcredit needs and provide them with innovative training and strategic investment opportunities to enable them to excel in their respective skills.
