The Director-General of Atunse 2018, the campaign organisation of the gubernatorial candidate of the Alliance for Democracy ’s, Mr Yinka Oyinlola, has debunked the rumour that there is rancour in the political party of the Alliance for Democracy penultimate the primary election, which brought about the emergence of the candidacy of Architect Olugbenga Akintola as the AD gubernatorial.
Mr Yinka Oyinlola who shed light on the issue at the coronation of the Ajalaye of Ipetu Ijesa, Oba Adeleke Agunbiade Oke at the weekend said its true there is bound to be intra party disagreement among the aspirants but the beauty of democracy is all about reaching an agreement among contestants for the party to move forward which we
have done.
“It is true that we lost about 31 days waiting for the declaration of the party gubernatorial candidate from the party National Exco due to the intraparty problem associated with choosing the best candidate that will represent us party at the Gubernatorial election between the two aspirants in the person of Honourable Femi Kehinde and Architect Olugbenga Akintola where they both met at the primaries on Monday, June 25, 2018 at the Nigerian Union of Journalist, Press Centre in Osogbo.
The result was 46 to 37 votes in favour of Architect Olugbenga Akintola in presence of the representatives of the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC). To be honest, we don’t know why the National Executives of the party took 31 days to declare Architect.

Akintola as the winner of an election which was supervised by the electoral body in the state and the nation. On the long run INEC did needful. This was a primary election that was conclusive and won by Mr Akintola and based on their report to Abuja nothing could be stopped the national the National Executives to send the national secretary to
declare that Mr Olugbega Akintola won.
We meticulously chose our deputy from Ejigbo, Osun West in person of Mr Akeem Bello because the Governorship candidate is from Osun East. The state chairman is from the central so post are evenly distributed as other party leaders are carefully chosen from all the geopolitical zones of the state and we are ready to surmount the insurmountable on September 22, 2018.
Right now there is no rancour among us as we are united as one to fight in rescuing the state and correct some anomalies in the polity which we have identified.
