The State Commissioner for Health, Dr Azeez Adeduntan made this disclosure while leading the task force team on a routine monitoring exercise to some private hospitals within Ibadan metropolis.
The Commissioner, who was represented by the Director Secondary Health Care and Training, Dr Adebisi Ayoola, stated that the aim of his administration is to reduce quackery practices to the minimum level.
Dr Adeduntan explained that, the proprietor of the hospital who was handed over to the police claimed to be a medical doctor, later said he was a nurse, but there was nothing to identify him as a nurse.

According to him, the same proprietor carried out a ceaseran section on two pregnant women which caused the death of one of the babies.
He also hinted that, the proprietor of the other hospital claimed to be a nurse, but is under investigation., adding the facility was first closed down in 2008 for medical negligence and handed over to the police station at Iyaganku,.
The Commissioner stressed further that, both facilities remain closed and the two proprietors handed over to Sango and Ojoo police stations respectively.
Dr. Adeduntan therefore called on all stakeholders in the health sector to brainstorm and find a lasting solution to eliminating quackery practices in the state.
He advised those proprietors that have registered to maintain minimum standard of practice as well as renew their license.
