A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart in Sokoto State, Alhaji Yusuf Dingyadi has described Friday’s Appeal Court ruling which affirmed the election of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal as the divine will of Allah.
Dingyadi, a former Secretary of PDP Caretaker committee of Kebbi State, stated this in a telephone chat with our correspondent while reacting to the Appeal Court verdict.
According to him, “the outcome of the Appeal Court verdict is a justification of Allah’s endorsement of Governor Tambuwal, so as for him to continue his good efforts of ensuring political cohesion, peace and development in the state.
“Governor Tambuwal fought it with zeal and determination through all difficult trends in order to make Sokoto State united, peaceful and above all safe,” he said.

The PDP chieftain further said power belongs to God and He gives to whom He desires at any particular period of time.
Hecommended the judiciary for keeping the hope of the common man alive.
“We commended the judiciary for standing firm and above any interference or afraid of threat, lies and propaganda to have delivered this landmark judgement,” he said.
Dingyadi, however, called on people of the state irrespective of their political affiliations to join hands with the governor to propel development to the state.
“It is time for the opposition to accept governor’s offer to come on board for the development and future of our dear Sokoto State,” he added.
