When T-Classic, one of the Nigeria’s hip hop sensations told his fans about his new music project- an EP entitled Underrated, not many people gave him a chance. The young songwriter was unperturbed as he kept his game plan to his chest.
With a number of hit songs like Nobody Fine Pass You (NFPU), Think About IT and a couple of others to his credit, T-Classic did not bother about what critics may say about his decision to release an EP that could change his game and turn his fortune around.
Just weeks before the release of his Underrated EP, news filtered in that T-Classic had joined Sony Music West Africa (SMWA) as the company would now take over his new music project and subsequent projects from his current record label, Mix Naija Entertainment (MNE).
As of now, the singer holds a record for one of the industry’s fan-favourite singles; NFPU whose music video sits at a humbling 4.5 million views on YouTube, a feat that helped to certify his rising star status. This feat was said to have propelled SMWA to unite resources with the singer’s skill and talent in line with the company’s mission to represent a level playing field for authentic artistes from the African region.
With the release of new EP on Friday, T-Classic is counting his blessings as words got to R that no sooner was Underrated dropped than it became the talk of the town. The five-track EP has songs like Underrated, Lykadu, Where You Dey featuring Mayokun and Perruzi, Owo and Why.
