The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Tajudeen Abbas, has congratulated the chairman of the House Committee on Works, Hon Akin Alabi, on his installation as the Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Abbas said the honour conferred on Akin Alabi was a testament to the lawmakers representing Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency at the National Assembly to the people of Ibadan.
In a letter with reference NASS/SPK/ADM/VOL.IV/0098, the speaker hopes that Alabi will continue to foster civic participation and uphold the rich cultural heritage of Ibadanland.
“On behalf of the 10th House of Representatives, I congratulate you on your installation as Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland by His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin (Ige Olakulehin I).
“This distinguished honour recognises your steadfast commitment to public service and your contributions to advancing the welfare of your community. It also reflects the deep respect you have earned within Ibadan’s traditional institution.
“We are confident that, in this new capacity, you will continue to foster civic participation and uphold the rich cultural heritage of Ibadanland.
“While wishing you success and fulfilment in this esteemed recognition, please accept my best wishes,” the letter read.
