Again six abducted from Epe school

Six students from the Government Model Secondary School, Igbonla Epe were early on Thursday morning reportedly abducted by suspected militants who invaded the school.

Unconfirmed reports had it that the kidnappers last week hinted the school authority that they were coming for the operation, prompting the school to call for police protection.

It was gathered that the militants invaded the school through the waterways at the back of the college and went straight to the male hostel where the students were abducted.

Though the identities of the abducted students were yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report, the state police commissioner, Fatai Owoseni has drafted a team of policemen, led by the commander in charge of the Rapid Response Squad to the scene.

Some students and teachers of the same school were last year abducted by a gang of gunmen, who collected an undisclosed amount as ransom, before the students and their teachers were released.
