The Senate on Wednesday concluded the debate on the general principles of the 2022 appropriation bill currently before it.
The Upper Chamber also referred the appropriation bill to its Committee on Appropriation and other sub-committees for further legislative actions.
The Senate also suspended its plenary to enable its committees to interface with ministries and agencies to get their budget defence.
The budget defence for the 2022 appropriation bill will also commence on Monday next week.
Meanwhile, during the debate on the general principles of the appropriation bill on the second day allotted, Senators, canvassed for the full implementation of the budget to address poor infrastructure, insecurity as well as equity in the distribution of projects across the country.
