Salary: Osun govt hails workers on understanding, steadfastness

OSUN State government, on Friday  lauded workers in the state civil service on their understanding and steadfastness in the payment on modulated salary, which was compelled by financial challenges, confronting the state.

The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy of the state, Mr Adelani Baderinwa stated this while addressing members of the Network of Non Governmental Organisations (NETNOS) who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
According Baderinwa, the state workers have exhibited good sense of responsibility with the payment of modulated salary, saying that the noble contribution and sacrifice  will be etched in gold in the history of Osun State.
While maintaining that Governor Rauf Aregbeola holds  the workers in high esteem, he maintained that when the state finances iimproves, the civil servant would be adequately taken care in term of normal salary payment and other emoluments.
 
Baderinwa, who urged members of the NETNOS to support the state government by enlightening the people on the importance and purpose of the programmes, policies and projects of the Aregbesola’s administration, observed that the NGOs were reaching the people directly and have access to information, just as he tasked them to make sure that the people at the grassroots are well informed on the activities of the government.
 
Earlier in his remark, the NETNOS president, Comrade Ibrahim Olayinka acknowledged the social intervention programme of the Aregbesola’s administration, disclosing that the group was ready to partner the state government on orientation and enlightenment of the people of the state.
He explained that their visit to the Ministry of Information and Strategy was became imperative, having realised that the ministry remains  the engine room of the government where information emanates and flow to the public, adding that the NGOs were ready to give suggestions and ideas that would assist the government in sustaining good governance.
