RIFAN seeks collaboration with new CoS on rice sufficiency

The Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN) has sought the collaboration of the newly appointed Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari to achieve rice sufficiency in the country.

This is just as RIFAN congratulated Professor Gambari for his appointment as Chief of Staff (CoS) to President Muhammadu Buhari.

RIFAN said the appointment of Professor Gambari is laudable considering the fact that he is a seasoned scholar and experienced diplomat.

A statement issued by the National President of RIFAN, Aminu Goronyo, expressed hope that the new CoS will bring his wealth of experience to bear to ensure growth and development across the country.

“We are confident that you build on the achievement of the president towards ensuring that Nigeria remains Food secured especially self-sufficiency in Rice production”.

RIFAN said the appointment of Professor Gambari demonstrates President Muhammadu Buhari’s avowed commitment to good governance by bringing on board competent Nigerians to assist him in taking Nigeria to the Next Level.

“RIFAN enjoyed the cordial relationship with late Chief Of Staff Abba Kyari who contributed largely to the development of Agriculture under this administration, we are ready to work with Professor Gambari, Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and that of water resources towards ensuring that Nigeria becomes among major exporters of Rice”, Goronyo added.
