United States under the administration of President Donald Trump has placed restrictions on some certain electronic devices coming in from 10 Middle East airports following from the unspecified terrorist threat.
Asides from cell phones, all other devices such as computer/laptops, DVD players of all kinds, cameras amongst all other things was said to remain in checked baggages instead of the cabin, the directive was given by the Department of Homeland Security.
Airports in Cairo, Dubai and Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Istanbul, Jeddah, Amman, Kuwait, Doha and Jordan are affected. It has been confirmed by officials that the restrictions have nothing to do with president Trump’s travel ban on six Muslim Majority nations.
