The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas on Monday approved the appointment of 33 legislative and media aide appointments, according to the statement issued by Speaker’s Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Mr. Musa Krishi, take immediate effect.
According to him, the fresh appointments is to ensure effective delivery of his legislative agenda for the 10th House of Representatives.
The new Appointees include Punch Newspaper Parliamentary Correspondent, Mr. Leke Baiyewu as Chief Press Secretary, and Daily Independent Newspaper Correspondent, Mr. Ahmed Baba Musa as Special Assistant on Print Media; Nura Adamu as Special Assistant on Broadcast Media; and Olabamiji Jowosimi as Special Assistant – New Media.
Others are Engineer Jamil Ahmed Muhammed as Deputy Chief of Staff – Administration; Dr. Dunkwu Chamberlain as Deputy Chief of Staff – Legislative; Hon. Ahmed Dayyabu Safana as Special Adviser – Special Duties; Dr. Hamisu Kubau ad Special Adviser – Political Matters; Barrister Samuel Ajayi – Special Adviser – Legal Matters.
Also appointed are: Barrister Osazee Ogundijie as Special Assistant – Legislative Matters; Barrister Aminu Ramalan – Special Assistant – Finance; Ambassador Ibrahim Gasau as Special Assistant – International and Inter-Parliamentary Affairs; Lamir Ibrahim as Special Assistant – Youth Matters; Yetunde Adeniji as Special Assistant – Women Affairs; Hon. Raphael Nna Igbokwe as Special Assistant – Inter-Governmental Affairs; Zakaria Aliyu as Principal Private Secretary; Aliyu Waziri as Special Assistant – Executive Relations & Job Creation; Mr. Mohammed Salame, Special Assistant – Information & Communication Technology (ICT).
Others include Hon. Friday Itulah, Special Assistant – Political Matters (South-South); Hon. Godfrey Gaiya, Special Assistant Political Matters (North West); Hanmation Tersoo, Special Assistant – Political Matters (North Central); Hon. Zakari Galadima, Special Assistant – Political Matters (North East); Abdulsalam Babakayode, Special Assistant – Political Matters (South West); Hon. Okwudili, Special Assistant, Political Matters (South East); Hon. The Speaker advised the new political appointees to discharge their duties in compliance with the new schedule of duties in the office of the Speaker and utmost commitment to the implementation of the legislative agenda of the 10th House of Representatives.
