Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has raised alarm over what she described as an impending submission of forged petitions to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), allegedly aimed at advancing efforts to recall her from the Senate.
In a post on her verified X account on Saturday, the Kogi Central lawmaker claimed she was aware that falsified documents, including petitions, were being prepared and would be submitted to INEC in the coming week.
She wrote, “Dear @inecnigeria , I’m aware these amongst other forged petitions In furtherance of “their” recall will be submitted to your good office next week.

“Well, Nigerians will hold you to your constituted standards and authority.”
This comes a few days after INEC rejected the latest petition to recall her, stating that it failed to meet constitutional requirements.
Tribune Online reports that in a recent statement by the Commission, the petition was declared non-compliant with Section 69(a) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), effectively halting any further action on the process.
