Business and social activities have returned in Owerri and its environs after the #EndBadGovernance protest flopped across the state.
Residents who stayed back in their homes on Thursday, first day of the protest had returned to their daily business activities while the civil servants in the state were at their duty post this morning.
The protest originally planned to hold in Imo like other states in the country did not hold because residents rather than comply with the protest stayed back in their homes over fear of attack.
Commercial drivers had their usual free days of wrecking passengers travelling from one place to the other while traders at various markets were busy opening their shops and displaying their wear for sale.
Motor parks, eatery joints, hotels, business centres, filling stations are not left out as their gates were wide open to receive customers.
Meanwhile, security personnel has maintained regular patrol on all the major roads and streets as well as adjoining communities such as Akwakuma, Egbu, Naze, Orji, and Irete all in Owerri North and West LGAs all to forestall possible breakdown of law and order miscreants.
