There is a clear indication that President Muhammadu Buhari is set to present the 2022 budget proposal to the National Assembly, on Thursday 7th October 2021.
The Deputy President of the Senate Ovie Omo-Agege who presided over the plenary dropped the hint while appealing to the Senate Committee on Finance to Fastrack work on the reversed MTEF/ FSP sent to the Senate by President Buhari.
Omo-Agege said the Senate will consider the report of the Finance Committee tomorrow Wednesday to enable the President to present the budget proposal to the two chambers of the National Assembly, on Thursday.
It would be recalled that the 2020 budget proposal was presented to the National Assembly on October 8th, 2019 to enable the lawmakers to pass the budget before the close of the year.
