Oby Ezekwesili questioned if politicians were ready to admit their massive failures had grossly eroded state capabilities and their legitimacy, losing the trust of their citizens.
She wrote, ”It is a fact that Democracy is sadly in crisis all over the world. However, Democracy is not just struggling but collapsing at an alarming rate in our own West African neighborhood.
Our politicians know why. They know and should stop acting surprised when things like Niger happen.
