The Police Command in Ekiti state has arraigned a man identified as Ayobami Joseph before an Ado-Ekiti Magistrate court over allegedly parading himself as a military officer.
The Police Prosecution, Sgt. Ola Apata told the court that the accused,25 committed the offence on August 24, 2019, at about 8: 30 pm in Ado-Ekiti.
He alleged that the accused, on the said date, unlawfully put on Nigerian Army Uniform, parading himself as an Army Officer.

According to him, the offence contravened Section 109 of the Criminal Code, Cap C 16, Laws of Ekiti state, 2012.
The accused pleaded not guilty as his lawyer, Mr Busuyi Ayorinde prayed the court to grant bail to his client on liberal terms, with a promise not to jump bail.
The Magistrate, Kehinde Awosika in his ruling, consequently granted bail to the accused in the sum of N50, 000 and one surety in like sum.
He adjourned the case to September 23, 2019, for further hearing.
