Kaduna State Police Commissioner, Muhammad Rabiu, has disclosed that since he assumed duty in Kaduna in December the command under his watch has arrested over 20 kidnappers and 320 suspected phone snatchers.
“From December 31, 2024, to date, the Kaduna State Police Command has recorded significant successes in our fight against crime.
He said the breakthrough was possible as a result of “Through intelligence-driven operations, synergies with the sister security agencies and collaboration with Communities to achieve safety and security, we have recorded tremendous successes and we are to showcase some of our achievements.
Speaking with journalists in Kaduna on Monday he said over over 580 suspects were arrested for various offences, including over 20 suspected kidnappers and 320 suspected phone snatchers.
Also, he disclosed that 32 suspected armed robbers and 10 suspects involved in rape cases are currently being interrogated.
CP Rabiu while extending his gratitude to the IGP for entrusting him with this vital responsibility, he maintained that his primary focus has been ensuring the safety and security of all residents and their properties.
” I want to assure the good people of Kaduna State that the state is safer, and we are working tirelessly to sustain and improve the security situation across every nook and cranny.
He also said, “I want to use this opportunity to warn criminal elements that Kaduna State is no longer a safe haven for criminals.
” We will continue to strengthen our intelligence network, improve response capabilities, and collaborate with sister security agencies to dismantle all criminal syndicates.
Furthermore, he urged the citizens of Kaduna to remain law-abiding and to support the police by providing timely and credible information. Security is a collective responsibility, and together, we can build a safer and more peaceful Kaduna State.
“Once again, I thank the Inspector General of Police for his confidence in me and my team. I also want to appreciate the people’s Governor His Excellency Senator Uba Sani for hiscontinueds logistics and moral support to the Command,” he stressed.
