Operatives of the Delta Police Command have apprehended two robbery suspects at different locations in the state.
The names of the two suspects who operated separately were given as Promise and Chijioke.
The latter was reportedly arrested by operatives from Umunede Police Station after they got a hint of his activities.
Metro gathered that promise , who was armed with a locally-made pistol and a machete, shot one Josephine Emordi on her two hands and chest before robbing her of one Ecolac box, N6,000 cash, clothes and documents.
Items recovered from the suspect included a locally- made pistol, an iron rod, one cutlass, a mask and a wrap of smoked Indian hemp.
The victim was, however, said to be receiving medical attention at an undisclosed hospital.
Chijioke, it was gathered, was arrested by operatives of the Federal Highway Patrol which were on duty along Kwale/Ughelli road while dispossessing travelers of their belongings.
Two of his suspected accomplices were said to have escaped into the bush.
Items recovered from the suspect included four locally made pistols, 10 live cartridges, an expended cartridge, a Day-Long motorcycle (DL 125-1) with no registration number, two black bags containing three Nokia phones, one Techno phone and one Samsung phone.
Other items recovered were, one Blackberry phone, one Innjooiti pad CE 0890 phone, one power bank, two I.D cards bearing Obiosa Chijioke, N2,000, an iron rod, a shirt and two pairs of shoes.
Confirming the arrest in a statement the state , police image maker, SP Celestina Kalu, said the culprits were nabbed September 15 and 16 respectively, adding that further investigations on the twin incidents were in progress while efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspects had been intensified.
