THOUSANDS of women from across the country have gathered in Abuja for a national conference on the election of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi in next month’s presidential election.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members were mobilised by the office of the National Woman Leader, Hajiya Mariya Waziri, of the party for the conference with the theme, “Call to action.”
The one-day conference is taking place at the Conference Centre of Chida Hotel, Abuja.

The event has caused a huge traffic logjam on the major roads leading to the venue with commuters having a hard time navigating their ways.
In attendance are Atiku, Senate President Bukola Saraki; the National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, and other party chieftains.
