Pastor of First Baptist Church, Seagovile, Texas, United State of America, Professor (Dr) Don Cole, has said government has a lot to do concerning the growth and development of the nation.
He also said government had a lot of roles to play which included promoting justice, prosperity and limiting evil to promote godliness.
He stated this at the church’s Believers’ Leadership Conference tagged Living in the Strength of God, at Shining Light Christian Ministries, College Crescent, Molete, Ibadan.
Senior pastor of Shining Light Christian Ministries, Pastor Olu Olajimi, in his address on the occasion, called on Christians to set their eyes on eternal reward, noting that God was faithful.
“Let us all be encouraged and passionately run with the vision, believing that faithful is He that promised and He will do it,” Olajimi stated.
He urged Christians to embrace unity and enforce diligence among them.
“We must imbibe discipline and diligence in everything we do, more importantly in our beliefs, practice, lifestyle, regularity and steadfastness in worship, doctrines and faithful service,” he stated.
The conference featured teaching, distribution of relief materials to more than 300 households, medical outreach to both Christians and non-Christians.
