The wife of the Lagos State Governor, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, has urged well-meaning Nigerians to support the government’s efforts at providing basic amenities for their immediate environment such as qualitative healthcare delivery services to assist the less privileged.
Dr Sanwo-Olu made the call while speaking at the inauguration of a well-equipped modern clinic, which was donated to the African Cathedral Church in Ifako by the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, in honour of his late parents, Chief and Mrs Oluwayomi Oke-Osanyintolu, to assist the less privileged in qualitative healthcare
The governor’s wife, who personally conducted medical checkups on some beneficiaries lauded Dr. Oke-Osanyintolu for the sophisticated medical equipment at the clinic to serve the people better.
Earlier, the presiding Cleric of the Church, the Rt. Revd. Isaac Akinwunmi Falana commended the initiative of reconstructing the clinic to serve more people within the church and Ifako environs.
The Diocesan Bishop called on the government to subsidise the cost of drugs which he said was increasingly on the high side.
During the dedication ceremony, some members of the congregation were checked for blood sugar levels, high blood pressure and HIV, amongst others.
