
This was contained in a statement  signed by the Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Wale Oshinowo and made available to newsmen in Abeokuta.
Oshinowo said the sum of N3.4 billion would be given to state government workers to offset outstanding deductions for six months while a sum of N1.1billion would be given to Local Government workers to offset deductions for three months.
Mr. Oshinowo also explained that the balance of N1.2 billion would be used for state expenditure.
He said, although, the Federal Government directive was that 50 per cent of the refund should be used for staff welfare and enumeration, the government of Senator Ibikunle Amosun had decided to apportion 79 per cent to staff enumeration and 21 per cent for state expenditure.
He equally assured that all the funds would be disbursed immediately to the appropriate tiers of government.
The Finance Commissioner assured that the state government is ready to offset all outstanding staff related expenses, as soon as more funds are available.
