As chairman, Ilejemeje Local Government Pensioners Association, I am grateful for the palliatives given to pensioners which is meant to run for six months. I wish to state here that in Ekiti State, there are some pensioners who receive less than N10,000 before the N10,000 palliative was approved.
However, the question is this: when the palliative ends after six months will the pensioners go back to their former allowance that is less than N10,000 monthly?
In view of this, I suggest that pensioners in Ekiti State should be given a consequential adjustment allowance after the expiration of the present N10,000 monthly palliative.
