THE Muslim Community of Oyo State (MUSCOYS) has commended the state governor, Mr Seyi Makinde, for his exemplary leadership and commitment to the welfare of workers in the state.
In a statement signed by the chairman, Alhaji Ishaq Kunle Sanni and secretary-general, Alhaji Murisiku Abidemi Siyanbade, the community said it was “particularly thrilled by the recent approval of N80,000 as the minimum wage for Oyo State workers, surpassing the Federal Government’s N70,000 minimum wage.”
According to MUSCOYS, “this bold move demonstrates Governor Makinde’s worker-friendly stance and dedication to improving the lives of citizens.”
The statement said: “The Muslim Community of Oyo State commends Governor Makinde’s visionary leadership and sensitivity to the needs of the people.
“This gesture will positively impact countless families and contribute significantly to the state’s economic growth.
