Fashola stated this when he was speaking to newsmen in Sokoto after the top management retreat for the ministry of works, Power and Housing held in Sokoto.
According to the Minister, ” I can say to you here confidently that we are constructing at least one road in every state of the country.

” If you go back to last administration, that was not the case. If we are to compare what has happened before the coming of this administration and what is happening today.
” Indices in power results for Quarter two in 2015 is minus 11% while the same result in 2018 is 7.6% in productivity.
” Look at road construction, it was 4.6%, compare to about 7.6% presently and many other indices, you will agree with me that we have done better than what we met on the ground,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Mr Fashola has disowned the documents circulating on social media about his ministry contributing money for the campaign of President Muhammadu Buhari in the next general elections.
He explained that even every election campaign needs money but not under his watch will anyone divert taxpayers money to fund political party campaign.
Fashola further explained, ” we have never done and we will never do it.
” I have seen the document, it was sent to me and when you see it, you will see the minute on it, please advise.
” That is a very serious word from the ministry to say nothing will happen,” he stated.
He, however, challenges the general public to know that the government is not a place to play politics with public funds. Fashola condemned any public officer who does that.
” I raised some of this observation during the last Administration when the then Minister for finance was attending rallies with Transformation Ambassador of Nigeria (TAN), it doesn’t happen in any other democracy,” he concluded.
