NO fewer than four persons reportedly were injured in Ede South Local Government Area of Osun State when supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) clashed on Thursday.
The pandemonium left a vehicle, motorcycle and other valuable properties damaged at the APC secretariat.
Trouble reportedly started in the early hours of the day when PDP members, holding their rally in the town, allegedly laid siege to the APC secretariat and beat up party members in the office.
Another source, however, claimed that it was the APC members that attacked the PDP members while on their campaign tour. A member of the APC, Abdullateef Usman, told Nigerian Tribune that while members of PDP were on their campaign tour, they passed by the APC secretariat in Ede South and attacked the secretariat, injured four members and destroyed property.
In a counter-report, Mr Olawale Rasheed, one of the spokespersons of Senator Ademola Adeleke, the PDP governorship candidate in the state, said it was APC members that attacked PDP members while holding their rally in the town.
